has lived in Nevada Assembly District 15 for more than 8 years and has been an active presence in local initiatives. Burke grew up in Ventura County, California and for 15 years ran a successful film production business. Burke relocated to the 15th Assembly District in 2012. Since 2012, Burke has worked hard to make Las Vegas, and his district a better place.
Through Burke’s efforts, the Nevada Marijuana Legalization Initiative, also known as Question 2 appeared on the ballot in 2016. In 2014, Burke personally gathered more than 10,000 signatures ensuring the appearance of Question 2 on the ballot in 2016.
During three fire seasons from 2013 to 2017, Burke worked with the First Responders unit with Bishop Companies, starting out as a cook and then becoming the inventory manager. It was also through Burke’s efforts that Question 1, the firearms background check ballot measure made the ballot in 2016. SB 143, the current effective firearms background check law drew its language from Question 1.
Burke became more involved with politics in 2019 when he passionately advocated for the Presidency of Democrat Andrew Yang. Burke’s videos were shot so well he became the official videographer for the Las Vegas Andrew Yang campaign. Like Andrew, Burke believes in disconnecting economic value from human value. Nevada will benefit immensely under a Universal Basic Income that Burke hopes to achieve. A Universal Basic Income for Nevada will make Nevadans happier, less stressed, and more financially secure, both in times of crisis (such as the Coronavirus pandemic), and in times of economic boom. Burke kindly asks for your support and vote on June 9th, for Nevada Assembly District 15.
